My many thanks to Cindy Bingham, my Sunday running buddy, for sharing her free trip to Whistler, BC, with me. It allowed me to cross off ziplining from my list. Her free trip included a fabulous stay at Nita Lake Lodge, two tickets to zipline with Ziptrek Ecotours and two tickets to ride the Peak to Peak Gondola.
Here’s just a taste of what it is like to zipline. Ziptrek Ecotours is all about your safety while they share their knowledge of the mountain and the ecology of the area. Oh, and they do make sure you have fun! I recommend them highly.
I’ll upload pictures of Whistler, our ride on the Peak to Peak Gondola and, of course, more ziplining in my album on Facebook. This area is more than beautiful, it is breath-taking.
Again, thank you, Cindy, for sharing this with me.
Upside down?? oh no, HELL NO! You are a braver woman than I…congratulations, Fearless Wonder!
Thanks, Karen!
I wish we could have done the upside down part several times. It was a lot of fun. And that area is just gorgeous.
Okay, Betsy, maybe you can’t do a side plank right now, but I will never be able to zipline!!! You go, girl!!
Oh, Joyce, if you want to zip, I’ll hold your hand. It is loads of fun.
You did it!! I love the picture of you over the water. You look like a superhero in pink!
Thanks, Betsy. It was so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again.
So much fun! I just completed my own list of 60 by 60 and both ziplining and going to Whistler are on my list so I can hit 2 birds with one stone…so to speak. I’m taking notes right now! Now I just need the friend to take me for free! Thanks Betsy.
Oh, Marcia, what fun! If you do ziplining at Whistler, go to Trektours as they are very good. I always felt safe as they kept checking and re-checking my lines before they let you go. And yes, I was very fortunate that Cindy invited me and shared her free trip with me.
What else do you have on your list? I’d love to be able to support you.
Betsy
Betsy, I just got back from a trip to Phoenix, so I just read your reply now. I saw you wrote it took you a while before you were ready to share your list and I know just what you mean. I’m ready now though so here is a sample:
Learn to make Mom’s pie crust
Organize my work area and make it more homey feeling
Start a travel fund – put $300 per month in the fund
Clean out garage so I can actually park my car in there
Go to a concert at the Gorge
Ride in a hot air balloon
Ride my bike up to Woodinville on the Burke Gilman trail
Learn some Italian
Get a library card – accomplished!
It took me about a week to put the list together and I still have 8 items to go. I got a journal and put one item one each page so when I complete it I can write about the experience. It would be fun if there were others making their own lists to get together and share sometime. Thanks for the support Betsy.
Hi, Marcia, I love your list! Making pie crust is definitely something to go for. I remember when I wanted to accomplish that. We had pies for weeks until a friend of mine took pity on me and taught me how to do it. Even though I don’t make as many pies as I use to, I can still make a decent crust when called upon. And riding your bike to Woodinville. Wow! I’ve only done about 4 miles but it is a beautiful trail. If you need encouragement along the way, just call. I’ll be more than happy to give out treats and water as you ride it.
Keep me posted on what you need as I’m more than happy to help out.
Will do, thanks Betsy. I’m just sitting down to do another Italian lesson on Mango Languages. Take care if that injury!
I am definitely not too accustomed to this subject matter but I do like to have a look at blogs for layout tips and intriguing subjects. You definitely described a subject matter that I almost always really do not care very much about and manufactured it exceedingly fascinating. This is a nice weblog that I’ll take note of. I currently bookmarked it for long term reference. Thank you Ccleaner, ccleaner news
